The Welding NC I (SMAW) Qualification consists of competencies that a person must achieve to weld carbon steel plates components as specified by layout, blueprints, diagrams, work order, welding procedure or oral instructions using SMAW welding equipment.

This Qualification conforms with AWS D 1.1 Structural Welding Code; ASME IX Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code; API 1104 Code for Gas and Oil Pipeline Facilities; and ISO 9606-1 Qualification of Welders for Steel.

This course is designed to enhance the knowledge, desirable attitudes and skills to perform shielded metal arc welding work to the standard expected in the workplace.

The course covers, competencies such as; utilize specialized communications, develop team and individual needs, apply problem solving techniques in the workplace, perform workplace safety and housekeeping, interpret blueprint, set up work area equipment and accessories, prepare weld joints, deposit weld beads, prepare materials and tools, and weld carbon steel pipes and plates in all position for fillet and groove welds.

The Flux-Cored Arc Welding (FCAW) NC II is consists of competencies that a person must achieve to weld carbon steel pipes components as specified by layout, blueprints, diagrams, work order, welding procedure or oral instructions using FCAW welding equipment.

This course is designed to enhance the knowledge, skills and attitudes in Flux Cored Arc Welding NCll in accordance with industry standards. It covers core competencies such as Setting-up Welding Equipment, Preparing Weld Materials, Fitting up Weld Materials, Welding Carbon Steel Plates Using FCAW, Welding Carbon Steel Plates and Pipes Using FCAW and Repairing Welds.

This course is designed to enhance the knowledge, skills and attitudes of GTAW Welder in accordance with industry standards. It covers core competencies such as Setting-up Welding Equipment, Preparing Weld Materials, Fitting up Weld Materials, Welding Carbon Steel Plates Using GTAW, Welding Carbon Steel Plates and Pipes Using GTAW and Repairing Welds.
